Biography

Since 2021, Patrick McGuire has served as Director of Music at Saints Anne & Joachim Catholic Church in Fargo. He previously spent five years as Director of Choral Activities for a Catholic high school & middle school. Patrick has a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), and a Master’s Degree in Music from the University of Mary (Bismarck, ND) with a certificate in Sacred Music. An avid organist, cantor, conductor, and composer, he has spent much of his early career focusing on sacred music and liturgical study.

He has assisted in various roles for numerous diocesan liturgies in the northern Midwest, primarily as a conductor of choirs. He assists with the annual Diocese of Fargo Parish Musician’s Workshop as a conductor & clinician. As an independent conductor and clinician, he has led workshops for church musicians and guest conducted choirs from churches, schools, and local communities throughout the United States. His social media following of over 100,000 people (across all platforms) enjoys light-hearted content about music & liturgy, in addition to the weekly offerings of his parish music program.

He is quickly becoming an accomplished composer, with an ever-growing library of organ, choral, and liturgical arrangements. His compositions have been distributed in over 300 cities across 30 countries worldwide. Patrick’s recent composition, “The Mass of the Holy Family,” has quickly garnered international attention as a practically approachable and beautiful setting of the Ordinary. He can be heard from time to time on Real Presence Radio discussing sacred music and liturgy. Patrick lives in Fargo, ND with his wife and 2 children.
